We currently have an opening for a Project Communications Specialist in our Communications Department. The successful candidate will develop and implement communication plans for electric generation and transmission construction projects. The candidate must be able to coordinate communications about various projects with key stakeholders, including consumers, employees, community leaders, regulators, environmental groups, etc. The candidate must posses the ability to coordinate their workload, solicit support of various groups and work under pressure to meet publication deadlines. The candidate will collaborate on other organizational communication initiatives.

The successful candidate must also have strong written and verbal communications skills and knowledge of public and media relations. The candidate must possess good customer relations, teamwork, interpersonal and technical skills. Some experience with web and graphic programs is preferred.

To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, public affairs or related field and a minimum of five years experience in communications. Electric utility experience is preferred.
