We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Information Services to provide functional and organizational leadership in the development, implementation and improvement of information technology people, processes and systems to support GRE’s short and long term business objectives. The primary responsibilities center on the acquisition, development, deployment, support and integration of enterprise applications, databases, reporting and analytic solutions.

Other responsibilities include:

Staff Leadership -manage, coach and provide work direction to work teams to maximize productivity, effectiveness and teamwork.

Strategic Leadership - collaborate with the IT leadership team to drive innovation and agility of people, processes and systems to ensure that IT services meet the evolving needs of business partners.

Technology Management - manage information technology through the development and implementation of standard, repeatable, and manageable processes to provide efficient, secure and reliable systems and services.

Service Management - provide leadership to the specification, implementation, delivery, improvement and performance of IT services to promote a high level of productivity and satisfaction by business customers.

Financial Management - develop financial forecasts, operating budgets, and capital budgets for the department to ensure effective and efficient use of financial resources.

To qualify you must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years IT experience, with 3 years in a leadership level capacity. Experience preferred in the development, implementation, administration, management and support of information technology. Experience preferred in the electric energy industry with knowledge of electric utility operations.

• Knowledge of human resources management; ability to utilize appropriate procedures to retain, motivate, coach, reward, and develop the human resources of the organization.

• Knowledge of project portfolio concepts; skill in prioritizing and managing large scale projects to meet objectives, budget, and timelines.

• Knowledge of GRE business objectives, culture, uses of information systems and the perceived and potential value of information technology services.

• Skill of dealing with diverse business problems, issues, and opportunities in which many problems exist simultaneously, the problems compete for immediate attention, and the issues are interrelated.

• Skill of anticipating future direction for information technology including formulating and articulating long range ideas that will support business objectives.

• Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address differences of opinion or fact and use of the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.

• Skill in negotiating with others to arrive at conclusions that are in alignment with business and IT division strategies; ability to utilize compromise, persuasion, rationale, debate, and diplomacy.

• Skill in communicating complex, technical information in non-technical terms to a wide variety of audiences.

• Ability to develop an accurate budget that expresses planned operations for the department in financial terms for a given period.

• Ability to make effective decisions and select a course of action considering appropriate variables.

• Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships and establish credibility with business partners.
