Great River Energy issues Request for Proposals for future power supply needs Elk River, MN (March 3, 2004) The RFP seeks resources, both renewable and conventional, to meet the needs of Great River Energy and its 28 member cooperatives for the balance of this decade. Those needs are for approximately 200 MW of renewable resources, up to 300 MW of peaking and intermediate resources and up to 200 MW of baseload resources. Responses to the RFP will be due on two different dates: the peaking/intermediate resource proposals are due on April 2, and the baseload and renewable resource proposals are due on April 30.
